The Open Joint Stock Company «ILYUSHIN Aviation Complex» (JSC “IL”) was founded in 1933 by a prominent aircraft designer Sergey V. ILYUSHIN as an Experimental Design Bureau. JSC “IL” is one of the leading Russian enterprises specialized in aeronautical engineering. During 75 years more than 120 types of aircrafts have been developed by the Design Bureau. More than 60000 “IL” aircraft have been built in the serial production factories.

Bombers, ground attack, military transport and special mission type of “IL” airplanes have been produced for the Russian Air Force and for export.

Legendary IL-2 and IL-10 ground attack planes, IL-4 long-range bombers played an important role in World War II.

 After the war the IL-28 became the first jet bomber of the Soviet Air Force. In the 70-s  IL-76 became the main aircraft of the military transport aviation. Special mission aircraft, the IL-38 long range anti-submarine aircraft, and the IL-78 tanker are also essential to the Russian Armed Forces.

Widespread passenger air transportation became possible in Russia with the introduction in service of IL-12, IL-14, IL-18, IL-62, IL-62M passenger aircraft and later of IL-86, IL-96-300 wide body airliners. Our airplanes have transported millions of passengers over these years.

As a recognition of great achievements in the development of new aircraft the JSC «Ilyushin Aviation Complex» was awarded by the Government rewards- “The Order of Lenin”, “The Order of October Revolution”, “The Order of Red Banner” and “The Order of Red Banner of Labor”.

In the 90-s the company designed aircraft of new generation including the IL-96T wide body transport aircraft, IL-76 military transport aircraft, IL-114, IL-114-100 regional passenger aircraft, IL-114T regional cargo aircraft and IL-103 light multipurpose aircraft.

The IL-86, IL-96-300, IL-96T, IL-114, IL-114T, IL-103 aircraft received the airworthiness certificate of Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee of CIS counties and the IL-96T, IL-103 were the first in Russia to receive US airworthiness certificates of USA FAA.

Today the following aircraft are being offered to our customers - transport and military transport aircraft: IL-114T, IL-76TD-90, IL-76MD-90, IL-76MF, IL-76TF,  IL-96-400T, IL-78MK-90 tanker, passenger aircraft: IL-103, IL-114, IL-114-100,   IL-114-300, IL-96-400M. New IL-112 and MTS military-transport aircraft are under development.

JSC "IL" specialists cooperate with the world’s leading aeronautical components production companies and research organizations.

JSC "IL" provides after sale support service and all types of maintenance and damage control for all “IL” aircraft. Overhaul and modernization of “IL” aircraft are being provided to maintain airworthiness and to comply with ICAO requirements and standards. Flying and ground teams personnel is trained in JSC "IL" Training Center.
