Ilyushin and Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute Had a Meeting on Transport Aviation Development
Will our country get an even more efficient and advanced transport aviation and what should we do to achieve this goal? This and other subjects were discussed by representatives of PJSC «IL» and Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI).
During the meeting, the participants agreed upon their position towards modernisation of the existing aircraft park and development of new winged vehicles. Currently, on-going joint projects include IL-112, IL-114, IL-276, IL-76MD-90A, IL-78M-90A, and preparation for the first flight of IL-112V light military and transport aircraft.
Particular attention was paid to the market condition and the development prospects of the Russian transport aviation. Also, the Ilyushin delegation headed by the UAC vice-president for transport aviation, PJSC «IL» general director Alexey Rogozin, paid a visit to the TsAGI’s endurance test facilities.
