Il OJSC Management and Staff Members Congratulate Il OJSC Chief Designer Andrei V. Yurasov upon his 55th Birth Anniversary

Andrei Vladimirovich Yurasov was born on 26 October 1961 in Moscow.

His career from a technician to a chief designer is inseparably linked with Ilyushin Aviation Complex where he was employed in 1981.

At present, in the capacity of the chief designer of Il-76 programs, he is in charge of modernization of Il-76 and Il-78 aircraft for the Russian Aerospace Forces and civil aviation. His comprehensive technical and engineering knowledge allows him to do his job with high quality and effectiveness within determined deadlines.

Yurasov contributed to the development of aeronautical equipment and strengthening the defence capability of the country. New versions of Il-76 aircraft were produced under his supervision: Il-76MD-90 for the Russian Ministry of Defence and Il-76TD-90VD for civil aviation.

He took part and supervised the production of Il-76MF aircraft and its delivery to Jordan. He also participated in the preparation and implementation of flight tests of Il-96-300, Il-114, Il-103, Il-76MD, Il-96MO/T aircraft.

In 2012, Yurasov participated in the application of the Il-76MD-90A modernized military transport airplane to large-scale production. He supervised the ground tryouts of all systems of the first experimental aircraft that allowed the beginning of its flight tests.

He is awarded Order of Honour and Order of Friendship, medal «In the Memory of 850th Moscow anniversary», certificate of merit of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
