The training air-technical center in Sheremetievo was of the most interest among the aviation fans, where IL aircraft are used for training. There are total three IL aircraft in the center, where students do their training, there are two wide-body passenger IL-86 and one transport IL-76T aircraft.

One of IL-86 is the forth test aircraft of such type, the aircraft with register number SSSR-86003 (Ser No 51483200001). It was given to the training center almost 25 years ago, on a world day of aviation and cosmonautics, April 12, 1989. Before that the aircraft was used for test flights, from September of 1979 was in test operation in Vnukovo squadron, and in 1981 it participated in Le Bourget air show (exhibition number – 348 “blue”, at nose part of the fuselage).

The second IL-86 is the aircraft with register number RA-86103 (Ser No 51483208071). Build date 1989, was given to the training center in 2008. It was operated by Aeroflot. From 1999 till the end of flights was leader among IL-86 in terms of flying hours. In 2008 “Aerobatic” serial was made at this aircraft.

IL-76T, register number RA-76460 (Ser No 0013431928), build date 1981, has been at the training center since August 1995, was operated by Aeroflot, written-off according to assigned life.

In the course of the event the guests could have a look at the aircraft, come onboard of the airborne vehicles, and take pictures. The culmination of the event was demonstrative engine start of il-86. It showed that the aircraft, used for practical training of the MGTU GA students at natural aviation models, are maintained in perfect technical condition, all the board systems work, and scheduled and technical works are carried out. According to the training center managers, IL-86 can theoretically fly!
