General Data
The Il-114T is a multi-purpose transport modification based on the turboprop airliner Il-114.
Capacity of aircraft cargo compartment is 76 m3 (length 18.93 m, diameter 2.64 m), cargo door – 3.25x1.71 m. Cargo compartment is adapted for transportation of cargo in containers of ЗАК-1, ЗАК-06, 1АК-1,5, 1АК-09 type, international containers and pallets.
Quick-removal cargo equipment was installed on floor rails in cargo compartment, including roller tracks for moving of cargo in containers and on pallets, as well as special folding locks, preventing the cargo from moving during flight. All this ensures quick loading and unloading.
The flight crew consists of pilot-in-command and co-pilot. For successful performance of the flight crew all flight data display devices and warning systems of the Il-114T, as well as aircraft system controls, are combined in the single information and control system with delivery of data to digital displays, situated on pilots’ instrument panel.
Flight-navigation suite of the aircraft allows operation of the Il-114T during day and night, in visual and instrument weather conditions, in storm, and ensures take-off and landing in ICAO standard II weather conditions.
The systems are configured in such a way that failure of one system does not influence the performance of others. The systems have required level of redundancy and employ well-proven materials.
Execution of modern technological achievements in maintaining necessary aerodynamic and weight efficiency of the aircraft and power unit give the Il-114T high fuel efficiency.
Aircraft landing gear allows it to land on unprepared aerodromes with concrete or dirt runways which contributes to expansion of the Il-114T usage in different regions.
Cargo-passenger and ambulance versions are possible.
The Il-114T made its maiden flight from the aerodrome of Tashkent Aviation Production Association on 14 September 1996. The aircraft was flown by crew under the command of honoured test-pilot of the USSR, Hero of the Russian Federation I. Zakirov.
